What Umar Hafeez Learned From His First Client Still Shapes His Agency

GoHighLevel sells itself as an all-in-one platform for marketing agencies. What it actually delivers, for most businesses that subscribe, is months of configuration work and a creeping sense that something is always half-built. The pipelines exist. The automation logic is there. Getting everything to connect the way the demos suggested is another matter entirely.

Umar Hafeez has spent close to three years inside that gap, according to his website. GoHighLevel has become a widely adopted platform for agencies looking to consolidate their CRM, funnel builder, and automation tools into a single subscription. The distance between buying access and running a system that actually functions as the platform promises is wide enough that a category of setup specialists has formed around it. Hafeez built his operation there.

Based in Lahore, Pakistan, he runs a small team that handles the configuration work most agency owners have neither the time nor the inclination to do themselves. The pipeline architecture, the sub-account structure, the automation sequences, the onboarding logic. His clients are primarily marketing agencies and independent coaches who bought GoHighLevel and discovered, somewhere between the free trial and the monthly invoice, that a complete setup is a full-time job.

The agency’s service offering covers six areas. A complete GoHighLevel setup, built around how a specific business actually operates rather than how the platform’s default templates assume it should. Funnel and automation builds inside GHL, from lead capture through follow-up to close. Custom website development on Showit, Squarespace, or Wix, integrated directly into GoHighLevel from the start so that contact forms, booking systems, and CRM data connect without additional bridging. A white-label video walkthrough series, built for agencies whose clients need guidance using the tools that have been set up for them. Logo and brand identity work. And ongoing support from people who already know the account they’re maintaining, rather than a generic help desk working from a ticket queue.

Alongside the done-for-you side, Hafeez offers one-to-one coaching sessions in GoHighLevel, Showit, Systeme.io, and funnel strategy, at $100 per hour, for clients who want to understand their own platforms rather than hand them off permanently. Platform templates, sold through Etsy, extend the product offering further.

The portfolio gives the clearest picture of how the work operates in practice. The longest-running case involves Stephanie Wellstead of Donnacode, a coaching agency, who brought Hafeez in as what the portfolio describes as a technical co-partner. By the firm’s account, the collaboration has covered a complete GoHighLevel agency setup, including SaaS plan configuration, pipeline builds, and sub-account structure, along with automation sequences, brand identity, and a support video series. It has also extended to building the individual business systems for more than 25 of Donnacode’s own coaching clients. The arrangement has been running for more than a year.

The rationale behind retaining clients at that depth is something Hafeez has put in writing on his About page. “That commitment is also why I keep my client list small,” he says. “I would rather do fewer things properly than many things at half the standard.”

The background to that position, told on the same page, starts with a decision that looked far less considered at the time. Hafeez left employment with, by his own account, no safety net and no clear direction. He was broke for a period. He took a three-month position to cover the gap, was fired, and made the decision not to return to employment. Another year passed before a first client came in.

That client is still with him. What that relationship established, in his telling, is that keeping a client well-served is more valuable than acquiring the next one. That logic now runs through how the agency is structured. Projects end with handover calls and written documentation. Support retainers are scoped before they start. Coaching sessions close with a written summary of what was covered and what comes next.

Alongside the client work, Hafeez is developing a YouTube channel and building his own line of digital products. The site describes both as active rather than forthcoming.
